Board Members

President – Linda Sherrard, M.Ed

President – Linda Sherrard is a veteran educator with more than thirty-eight (38) years of experience serving the Galena Park/North Channel Community.  She is a long time employee of Galena Park ISD and led the famous North Shore High School for many years before being asked to be the Director of Community Education and Student Success.

Board Member – Brittany Hill

Brittany Hill, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance.  Upon graduation, Brittany joined the Financial Management Program at General Electric, an award-winning training program for the future leaders of the company.  Brittany has been employed by General Electric for the past 9 years and has held several leadership positions in the finance function, across the country and globally.  Brittany currently serves as the CFO of the Aftermarket Valve Services business.

Brittany is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support in local communities and throughout the world.  Additionally, Brittany is a member of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, where she serves as the Team Leader for the Young Adult Ambassadors.

In her spare time, Brittany enjoys working out, reading, and traveling.

Dr. DeRhonda McWaine

Dr. DeRhonda McWaine is a professor at San Jacinto College North and a proud Rhodes School for the Performing Arts parent.  She and her family have been part of the RSPA crew since its inception. RSPA is thrilled to have this outstanding community leader among the ranks of its board members.

Chrishelle Palay

Chrishelle Palay is a community member and advocate for those less fortunate than herself. The daughter of a retired school administrator, Palay found a second passion in serving on the Board of RSPA. Palay’s business training and experience as an architect serve the school well.
